Volunteering

We welcome volunteers of all types and ages to join OPEN THE BOOK, and we feel sure you will enjoy every moment of it, but before you proceed with applying to join, here's what will be required of you:

You will be in a team formed from one or more local churches, which will present stories every week. That will take about one hour of your time per week during term-time, plus any time you might choose to spend rehearsing, or meeting with fellow team members from your church.

As much as possible, we like to build teams of volunteers that are able to stay together, so that over time they create a bond between each other, and become familiar and well-practised with the work - and also so the children and schools get to know them!

If you would like to become a volunteer, you will need to do this through your local church - but you will also need to register with OPEN THE BOOK, which you can do by requesting a Registration Form from us. Please click the link, or go to Registration.
